Movie Effects App Reviews

This is no full fledged video editor. But it sure is FAST in doing what its supposed to do : Add some effects to a clip without having to open up large apps like iMovie or Final Cut. No worrying about libraries , importing , project files when you just quickly want to change luminance, sharpness and maybe a hue on a clip. This is easy to use , has a LONG list of export formats so you can use it as a converter too. It did balk at trying to convert an old black and white .mov clip to dv, but hey, worked fine to MP4 (a bit more realistic). Well done!

This app is great for its ease of use and for someone like me who does not have a lot of technical skills but likes to exprimental and make creatve clips. Works well. Lots of fun. Will consider the upgrade and really apprecitae no in app annoying ads or it being so limited that it was not worth the download.

The effects are really good and fairly easy to use. does not have a mirror effect that creates more than one person, or anything extreme like that, but is still really good.

iPhone video (.mov) first needed to be converted to .wmv. I bought a program, here, to do that. Its great, but now the .wmv needs to be rotated 90 degrees. ME, very reasonably priced, fits the bill. Only thing is, it failed. I take the before and after ME .wmv to a windows machine (at work, across town) and the machine refuses to display the "corrupt" movie. Fortunately, the Windows Movie app could fix it. I dont know about all the other features of ME - I only needed to rotate this one .wmv - this is NOT the program you want to use for rotation. I will look at the rest of the features when there is a update.

I think that some of the effects are really cool, but some kind of do the same thing. I wish there were more. The app is good because it is free, but if it were more than 99 cents at the most I would want a refund. Overall a pretty cool app.

There arent many free programs out there that can convert a movie file to an FLV file, with good compression. I converted a 3min video down to an 8mb flv, which is exactly what I needed... no configurations, etc, just perfect. Thanks.

Download this app to fix a few upside down videos I took using my iPhone. It has easy drag and drop, then you can rotate and flip the video, saving the output as many different formats. Worked perfect. The output allows you to choose almost any format from Apple specific like iPhone and iPad to HTML5 video and many more. It also has many filters that can be applied to the video resulting in various unique videos. Im using a MacBook Pro 13" Late 2011 model OSX Lion 10.7.3

I had one 12 minute video footage of a jam session with TheFountNHead and Stereomonster but the video played back vertically. Downloaded this app and a few minutes, I had the footage playing the right way. I thought I was going to have to go to a professional to get the video footage corrected. Got it done for the free free, cant wait to try out the other effects.

I find this app good, but I cant say great. For one I thought it would have effects like explosions you could add out there. And I thought it would be easier to use. I will rate it 5 if you add these in. Thanks! :)

I need to rotate some home videos in iTunes and this tool helped me quickly get the issue solved. Thank you so much!

I downloaded this program to be able to easily rotate videos off my iPhone to my iMac before improting into iMovie. Some of the formats I choose to save in give me an error. It defaults saving to a folder so I had to search for them on my computer and change the preference to tell it to save where I want it to save. It should prompt the first time one uses the program. This program is fast but it saves everything into the .ts format which cannot be imported to iMovie so this program was a waste of time. They really need to improe how the videos are saved because the way it handles things, it is not usable.

If this had a framerate editor I would give this 5 without a second thought but I do some long films that I need to increase the framerate of.
